Terms of Service
Last updated: June 8, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Recovery Meetings (the “Service”). By using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. What the Service is
Recovery Meetings is a free tool that aggregates publicly listed recovery meetings (such as AA, NA, SMART, Recovery Dharma, and others) and links to related resources. We are an independent directory. We do not host, run, endorse, or provide meetings, treatment, counseling, or any professional service.
2. Early-stage Service
The Service is in active development and is provided on a best-effort basis. It may be incomplete, inaccurate, unavailable, or changed or discontinued at any time without notice.
3. Not medical, professional, or crisis advice
The Service is for general informational purposes only and is not a substitute for professional medical, legal, psychological, or treatment advice, and it is not an emergency or crisis service. Never disregard professional advice or delay seeking it because of something you saw here. If you are in danger, call 911; if you are in crisis, call or text 988.
4. Accuracy and your responsibility
Meeting information comes from third-party sources and may be outdated, incomplete, or incorrect. Meetings may move, change format, or not take place. You are responsible for verifying any meeting's details (time, location, format, and whether it is still active) before attending or relying on it, ideally with the host group or the program's official source. You use the information at your own risk.
5. Third-party content and links
The Service displays data from, and links to, third-party websites and services that we do not control. We are not responsible for their content, accuracy, availability, or practices, and a link is not an endorsement.
6. Trademarks and affiliation
Program and fellowship names and logos (for example AA, NA, SMART Recovery) are the property of their respective owners and are used only to describe meetings. Recovery Meetings is independent and is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by any of them.
7. Acceptable use
Don't use the Service unlawfully; don't attempt to disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorized access to it; and don't scrape or republish its data in a way that harms the recovery organizations whose listings it aggregates.
8. Disclaimer of warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AVAILABILITY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT, TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. We do not warrant that meeting information is accurate or current or that any meeting will occur.
9. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, RECOVERY MEETINGS AND ITS OPERATORS AND CONTRIBUTORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR RELIANCE ON THE SERVICE OR ANY MEETING INFORMATION — including a meeting that is inaccurate, moved, or does not occur. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed fifty U.S. dollars (US$50.00). Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Recovery Meetings and its operators and contributors from any claims, damages, or expenses arising out of your misuse of the Service or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.
11. Privacy
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. Changes take effect when posted; your continued use means you accept the updated Terms.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules, and any disputes will be subject to the courts located there, except where prohibited by applicable law.
