About Meeting Finder

Last updated: September 23, 2026

Meeting Finder is a free, privacy-first directory that gathers recovery meeting listings from publicly available sources and puts them in one place. No ads. No tracking. Just meetings.

What it is

Finding a meeting should take seconds, not a half-hour of navigating twelve different fellowship websites. Meeting Finder aggregates AA, NA, SMART Recovery, Women for Sobriety, LifeRing, Marijuana Anonymous, Recovery Dharma, and Refuge Recovery into a single, filterable, mobile-first view — with drive times, online meeting links, and the ability to save meetings for quick reference.

It works in a browser. No app install. Designed to be fast on a slow phone connection, because that's often when it matters most.

The app covers the United States and Canada. Many fellowships share their listing data internationally — if your fellowship publishes to TSML or BMLT, Canadian meetings are included. We are actively expanding Canadian coverage.

What it isn't

Meeting Finder is an independent directory. It is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Alcoholics Anonymous, Narcotics Anonymous, SMART Recovery, or any other fellowship. Program names and materials belong to their respective organizations.

It is not a treatment service, a crisis service, or a substitute for professional care. If you are in crisis, call or text 988 — available in the US and Canada, 24/7, free.

Who built it

Meeting Finder is a project of Fankar LLC, a Michigan-based technology company. It was built by someone in recovery, for people looking for a meeting — and for the group secretaries and service representatives whose work keeps those meetings listed correctly.

The project is privacy-first by design. We know who uses meeting finders. We collect the minimum necessary, store nothing personally identifiable, and will never sell or share your data. See our Privacy Policy for the specifics.

The data

Meeting listings come from the same sources the fellowships publish for syndication: AA uses the TSML / Meeting Guide standard; NA uses BMLT; SMART, WFS, and LifeRing are via Pathminder; MA, Recovery Dharma, and Refuge Recovery use publicly available JSON feeds. We do not fabricate listings and we do not copy anything that is not designed to be shared.

Listings appear in the language in which they were entered by the host group. Quebec listings may appear in French; no translation is applied. The interface language is English; French interface support is planned.

For a complete list of every source, how we access it, and the license or legal basis for doing so, see our Data Sources page.

Meeting information may be out of date. Meetings move, change schedule, and close. Always confirm the details before relying on a listing, ideally with the host group directly.

Corrections and removal requests

If your group is listed incorrectly, has closed, or does not want to appear here, we will fix or remove it promptly. See our Contact & Removal page for how to reach us and our stated response timeframe.

Coverage and feedback

We're adding fellowships and regions over time. If a fellowship or region is missing, or if you have feedback on how we present things, use the feedback form in the app.
